Starting from the need to comprehensively assess and evaluate UCEAP programs, the UCEAP research team developed a logic model. Ideally, a logic model provides a visually enriched description for how an organization's resources, strategic activities, and goals are integrated to fulfill the operating values and mission.

In configuring this logic model for program evaluation, we recognized how central student development and learning outcomes are to the model. We suggest this visual model could be of value to other areas of the organization as it will encourage working toward common goals, while still respecting the needs for autonomy and flexibility within the many units of UCEAP.
